Me, lately.

So, I haven't given anyone an update on myself lately, and since Cooper is almost 6 months old, I thought I'd update.  As some of you already know, I became a fitness instructor back in February of last year (coming up on 2 years) after losing over 40 pounds.  So, when I got pregnant with Cooper last August my goal was to gain little weight while being healthy, keeping my baby healthy, and working out the whole time.  Even though I ate well and exercised 4-6 times a week, I still managed to gain 40 pounds, which I was fine with.  Within 3 weeks of having Cooper I had lost 20 of that 40, but then I stopped. I have been continuing to eat well and I teach 7-10 fitness classes a week. I am learning that even though so many people say that breastfeeding will help the weight come right off, it's completely up to your genetics. If you have the body type to lose the weight after having a baby, it doesn't matter what you do, it's gonna come off.  Breastfeeding for me has made me keep the weight on, and I'm not going to lie, it's extremely frustrating.  I'm a size 8, and I range from 145 pounds to 150 pounds. I finally bought a pair of pants because I was annoyed of not having clothes that fit, and the 8's were a tad small, but 10s were too big.

This is where I am currently at.

Cooper is 5 months!

This kid keeps getting bigger and more fun! He's rolling over both ways and moving all over the place. He's no longer swaddled at night, which was a huge mistake on my part. A couple people with kids his age told me they stopped so I thought I should stop too, bad idea!! He typically take 3 naps a day (depending on my schedule), and sleeps most of the night now. He goes to two different gym childcares with me and does a really great job! He seems to have found his voice which sounds like high pitched squeals of happiness, which is both cute and loud at the same time.
He still hasn't had a doctors appointment since his 1 month appt, but I'm hoping he'll have one in the next few weeks and get some of his shots. I've been nervous with sick season coming around, but luckily he's breastfed, so that helps with some immunities.
He's eating some solids, so far just bananas and butternut squash. He loves sitting in the bumbo, which my friend so graciously let us borrow. We have a different one, but it's somewhere in storage, and we can't seem to find it.
He loves Barley (our dog) and enjoys getting his face cleaned by Barley.
Sorry this post is almost 2 weeks late, but the picture was taken only a few days late of his 5 month birthday.
